Best Books of 2020

I think we can all agree that 2020 wasn’t a great year. But, just because the year was terrible, doesn’t mean that all of the books I read were! Here are some of my favorite books that I read last year!

From Blood and Ash – Jennifer L Armentrout

I’m going to warn you all now that I never shut up about how much I truly love this book. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly, highly recommend it, and it’s sequel! (But hurry, book three comes out in April!)

Serpent and Dove – Shelby Mahurin

I heard this book hyped so much on Facebook, and I really wasn’t sure what all the hype was about since it kindof just seemed like your run-of-the-mill fantasy novel with witches…but oh was I wrong. It was really unique and oh-so-good! And as a girl who grew up in church, I really loved how they tied in a ton of church-goer rhetoric in here.

The Shadows Between Us – Tricia Levenseller

This is what happens when you have a Slytherin main character, and holy cow this book is amazing. I devoured in in about 24 hours. I’m still kindof bitter that it’s a stand-alone though, because I would love to live in this world forever and ever.

House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J Maas

This was the first of many quarantine books, and honestly…not mad about it. I ended up reading this book twice in 2020 because I loved all 800 pages just that much! I’m always excited to start a brand new series, and this one was no different. Miss Maas is at it again, ready to pull on our heartstrings with her new world.

Blood Heir – Amelie Wen Zhao

I read this so early in 2020 that I had actually forgotten it was a 2020 read until Goodreads reminded me. Nevertheless, this book stuck with me, and has lived rent free in my mind all year long. I can’t wait for book two to come out, because I can already tell you that Amelie Wen Zhao holds my heart.

And those are my top 5 books of 2020! What books did you love the most from last year?

Happy reading!
