Hi, welcome to my blog! My name is Stephanie, I’m 25, and I still live at home with my parents….let’s talk about that. I graduated college in 2020, aka, the middle of a global pandemic, with a degree in Acting on stage. Graduating is tough on any senior, because no one is ever quite sure what the job market is going to look like when they enter it. Graduating in a pandemic definitely exacerbates that. Graduating during a pandemic when your entire chosen industry is shut down? You definitely start questioning your future life choices!
I knew that for at least a year or more, I wouldn’t really have many opportunities (or any!) to pursue a career in theater, so I took a step back and thought to myself: what is it about theater that you truly love? I came to the conclusion that I love stories, and I love seeing them brought to life. Once I realized this, I was able to still pursue the parts of theater that I was passionate about! I could pursue stories!
I’ve always loved to read, and even during a hectic college schedule, I never slowed down. I devour books like they’re food! I knew that I could pursue my passion by sharing my love for the many books I’ve read with as many people as I could. Enter: this blog!
