Most Anticipated Reads of 2021

Woo! Guys, we did it. 2020 is over! While I know that all our problems haven’t just magically disappeared, I do have hope for the new year! Part of that hope is all of the books that will be coming out this year, and I’m so excited to read them all! So, here are the books that are coming out in 2021 that I am the most excited to read, in no particular order.

A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer

The first two books in this series were absolutely PHENOMENAL and I am so excited to finally be able to get my hands on book number three! I’m definitely going to have to do a reread of this series, but I can’t wait!

Red Tigress by Amelie Wen Zhao

I cannot speak highly enough of Blood Heir, so I’m so ready to delve back into this world and find out what happens next! If this one is as good as the first, then I’m pretty sure that Amelie is quickly going to become one of my auto-buy authors!

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

HOLY COW!! I literally have been dying to get my hands on One Last Stop since I finished Red White and Royal Blue (the first time). Since then, I’ve read RW&RB several times over, and each time it makes me more antsy to delve back into the beautiful, queer writings of of Casey McQuiston!!

Grace and Glory by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Ok, if you know me, or have followed my twitter for any length of time, then you know just how obsessed I am with JLA. The third book in the Harbinger series comes out this year, and I cannot wait!! Book two left me with such a cliffhanger and I just can’t handle it anymore! Give me book three now!

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

While Nesta is by far one of my least favorite characters from this series, I’m still super excited to delve back into that world and see how these characters continue on. The ACOTAR world will always have a special place in my heart, so I can’t wait to see how this world develops further!

This Will Be Funny Someday by Katie Henry

I have loved every book by Katie Henry so far. I think her humor is just spot-on perfect, and she has such an effortless way of writing. All of her books feel so effortless and pull you along super quickly. I can’t wait to read what she has planned for us next!

Pumpkin by Julie Murphy

As a plus size blogger, you probably can imagine how much I truly adore this series, so it’ll be no surprise that I can’t wait for the third one to come out. The fact that this one is tackling body positivity in plus-sized MEN is yet another reason why I can’t wait to read this book! This has been a long time coming, and I need it immediately please!

Crescent City 2 by Sarah J. Maas

We don’t even have a title for this one yet, but I don’t care! The second book in the Crescent City series is coming out in November and I need it ASAP please and thank you! We’re only one book in to this new world by SJM and I’m already hooked on these characters. Now that Bryce is *spoiler!* super badass powerful, I have to know what this killer woman is going to do next!

An Emotion of Great Delight by Tahereh Mafi

I love Tahereh Mafi’s writings. She’s not one that I think about super often when I’m listing my favorite authors, but at the same time, I haven’t read a book by her that wasn’t a five star read for me. I think her writing is understated, yet powerful, and that alone makes me incredibly excited for this next book by her.

Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

And rounding out this list, we have another JLA book. Literally either give me this book or kill me now because I will die without it. Thankfully JLA released the first chapter on Christmas or I probably would have died from not having my Poppy and Cas fix. I don’t think I can make it until April. Send Help.

This year has so many fantastic books set to be released, and this is only scratching the surface of it! I’m so excited for 2021 and the fresh start that a new year brings. So what are your most anticipated books of 2021?

Happy reading!
